Bioidential hormone specialist

Dr. Alice Frausto is a gynecologist (she no longer does OB medicine) that specializes in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy for hormone imbalance or menopause. BHRT is not something that most American medical school trained doctors know about because bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is not taught in US medical schools... it is taught in Europe, especially France & is being researched in Japan & Canada. BHRT are prescribed (only by a medical doctor) natural hormones that are compounded by a specialty compounding pharmacy (Advanced Pharmacy in North Hollywood does it)... so the dose is customized based upon blood tests that Dr. Frausto will have done. The BHs can be compounded in a gel form, (so you can avoid having them metabolized through the liver), a liquid or a capsule. Dr. Frausto may be able to cure your sympthoms without taking taking synthetic hormones or anti-depressants. Bioidentical hormones are made from Mexican wild yams, but they must be prescribed by a licensed medical doctor. Over the counter hormone creams don't contain enough hormones to be of medical benefit. Dr. Frausto is one of the few gynecologists in Los Angeles that treats hormone imbalance & menopause with bioidentical hormones.
